LED Heat Resistant Strip for fireplaces
Firstly, thank you for considering purchasing JLEDS Heat Resistant LED strip to illuminate inside your fireplace. Before supply we must ensure our product is not exposed to any naked flames. It is Heat Resistant to 100°C (212°F), but not fire retardant. Help us, to help you, buy the items you need.
What colour strip do I want ?
Choose from very warm white (2700K), warm white (3000K), natural/cool white (4000K) or daylight (6500K).
The most popular choice, for a fireplace surround is warm white (3000K).
Where do I place the strip ?
The best position for our LED strip is shining downwards. It’s usually fitted either at the front or back. Wherever selected, please ensure the temperature where the LED strip will live will not exceed the 100°C (212°F) limit. This can be checked using a thermometer. In order for us to quote an accurate price we need to establish what length of strip you require. It’s cuttable every 100mm, so JLEDS can supply in lengths for example, 0.7M, 0.8M, 0.9M, 1M, 1.1M, 1.2M and so on. We can supply any length.

What cable length do I need ?
At the end of the strip we solder on a length of Heat Resistant Cable, which will get connected to an externally fitted LED Driver, rated 24V. What length of cable do I require ? JLEDS can supply up to 3M in length.
Do I want the LED strip to dim ?
It’s advisable because the strip is bright. There are three methods.
1. JLEDS offer a simple yet functional Dimmer Switch which dims the strip perfectly. Simply select the desired light level using the rotatable dial. Once found it will remain at that level thereafter. The Dimmer Switch is easy to install and tends to live beside the LED driver. It is wired between the LED driver and LED Strip.
2. If you have your own switch you may simply require a dimmable LED driver. We keep TRIAC dimmable, (both leading and trailing edge) drivers to suit the strip.
3. Do you want the strip to work using Smart phone APP control or third party voice control ? We have a small and easy to fit Controller with hand held remote.
4. Do you want the strip to work using Alexa / Google Assistant device? We have a small and easy to fit Controller with hand held remote.
